QUERYING: TRUE NORTH

Suffocated by the monotony of survival in 1950s rural eastern Finland and haunted by the memories of her late mother, Lotta Lahtinen sees the inaugural Maiden of Finland beauty contest as her ticket away from Mustalampi. However, that ticket comes at a cost, as she unwittingly strikes a bargain with a mysterious stranger to win the crown who may turn out to be the devil in disguise.
